Collagen Formation with shorter downtime
By heating the tissue in a controlled manner with light of wavelength 1550 nm, the fractional laser stimulates the formation of new collagen. Collagen is a fibrous protein that makes the skin elastic and supple.
The fractional non-ablative laser heats only tiny parts of the skin (MTZ = micro treatment zones), allowing for a significantly shortened downtime. The tissue is neither vaporized nor ablated (non-ablative). The resulting shorter downtime ensures increased acceptance by patients.
